About me

I am a Professor of Road and Transportation Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin (HTW Berlin). I head the laboratories for “Human Factors in Traffic,” “Road Construction,” and “Geodesy.”

My teaching and research interests include road design and analyzing the gaze behavior of all road users in real conditions and in a driving simulator. My research also includes building information modeling in road design, road safety, intelligent roads and pavements, intelligent transportation systems, pavement design, road maintenance, geodesy, and railways.
